Railteam is an alliance of European rail companies operating international high-speed trains within Europe. Europe's cities and countries rely on these companies to provide high quality service on sustainable and environmentally friendly connections that are also fast, comfortable and safe.
Travelling with Railteam also means travelling sustainably, as rail emits much less CO2 than an equivalent journey by road or air. By using more and more renewable energy sources, European rail companies are constantly reducing their carbon emissions and energy consumption. Railteam alliance members offer fast, high-quality services with a high frequency and a high level of comfort, including for passengers with reduced mobility. During their journey, our customers can use their time efficiently to work, relax or move around freely on the train.
As an alliance, Railteam offers additional services to passengers, such as access to lounges in mainline stations and the ‘Hop on the next available train’ (HOTNAT) service in the event of unexpected disruption. Railteam members are constantly working together, not only to improve each other's rail connections to meet the growing demand for high-speed rail travel in Europe, but also to raise service levels (e.g. by improving the exchange of real-time travel information). Railteam is working towards an increasingly connected and sustainable Europe.

HOTNAT is a Gentlemen's Agreement between Railteam members, making it easier to continue your journey in the event of cancellation or delay.
Whether you need to work or just want to relax, the wait will seem shorter in one of our comfortable lounges.
Railteam members work closely together to ensure that passengers have a pleasant and comfortable journey. This includes providing real-time data on the punctuality of high-speed trains throughout their route.
